COVID-19: Support and services in Fife

We understand that COVID-19 is having a serious impact on the lives of women who sell/exchange sex. Below you can find information on key services in FIFE who are able to provide support with housing, money, food, sexual health, and wellbeing.

Housing & Energy

  • Frontline Fife – free, confidential and independent advice on a range of housing issues
  • Fife Housing Register – partnership of housing associations in Fife, providing free housing, energy, and benefits advice
  • Cosy Kingdom – free, impartial energy advice via phone and text


  • Conduit Scotland – provide money advice, support with benefits process, as well as helping to access food, childcare, and clothing
  • Citizens Advice and Rights Fife – providing debt advice and support with claiming Universal Credit via phone


  • Kirkcaldy Foodbank – Independent foodbank which accepts self-referrals across various locations in Kirkcaldy
  • Trussell Trust Foodbanks – There are a number of Trussell Trust foodbanks in the Fife area which work on a referral system. Contact CLiCK if you require support in accessing a foodbank
  • The Food Train – Weekly grocery shopping delivery to older people at home covering Fife

Sexual Health

NHS Fife – Drop-in services are no longer provided, and cancellations of booked appointments are also expected. If you require urgent advice (e.g. if you have symptoms or are running out of contraception or medication) please call 01592 647979


  • Fife COVID-19 Mutual Aid Group – Facebook group of volunteers providing a range of practical and emotional support across Fife
  • Fife Voluntary Action – An online platform where volunteers can be matched with people in need in their local community
  • Fife Women’s Aid – Support available via phone and social media for women, children, and young people
  • Gingerbread – Provides support to parents and families. Support is currently being provided via phone calls, texts, social media and emails
