CLiCK Cast – Episode 1 is now live!
Earlier this week, we launched our new creative platform CLiCK Magazine and now I’m very excited to say that the first episode of CLiCK Cast is now live! CLiCK Cast is a monthly podcast series, hosted by myself and Anna (CLiCK Development Worker), exploring the challenges women who sell or exchange sex or images are facing during the coronavirus pandemic.
The first episode of CLiCK Cast aims to give a broad introduction to women’s needs as well as highlight what is being done – and what needs to change – to best meet these needs. This episode is largely based on a call out we conducted via Your Voice, right back at the start of the pandemic. Women told us that they had a number of different concerns including money, safety, mental wellbeing, housing, and sexual health. In this episode, we explore each of these issues alongside input from women and interviews with Umbrella Lane, Another Way, Vice Versa, TARA, and the Encompass Network.
In our next episode, we’ll be discussing women’s most urgent need: money. We’ll be asking whether Government schemes are doing enough to support women during the pandemic, and what changes women would like to see at the service level and policy level in order to better support their financial wellbeing.
You can listen to the first episode now over at CLiCK Magazinewhere you can also find our show notes and more information on how you can
take part in the podcast!
I just want to say a massive thank you to all the women who contributed towards this first episode, and all the services we interviewed too!
We can’t wait to hear what you all think,
